SEA TOUR IN KOMODO NATIONAL PARK | Tours to Komodo National Park are available for all seasons. During wet season (January and February) usually we only provide trips to Rinca Island which is much saver, so during the wet season we do not always provide this boat trip to Komodo Island due to high waves and strong currents. But for detailed information about local weather please feel free to contact us any time to know local conditions because sometimes the weather can change beyond our control. Look at the specific tour pages for more information! |
WEATHER | The province of East Nusa Tenggara is one of the sunniest areas in Indonesia. Rainy season lasts only for 4 months every year (December, January, February and March) and during the rest of the year it is dry season. On Flores overland tours, sun cream for skin protection, hat and shoes during the day time are recommended. Most destinations of this tour are located on the slopes of mountains, except for Maumere, a town in the eastern part, Riung in the north and Labuan Bajo in the west part of the island of Flores. July, August, December and January is the high season for visitors on Flores and Komodo Island – and therefore, due to the limited accommodation on the mainland of Flores, we suggest to all the participants to book early to enable us to manage all the bookings. |
ECO TOUR IN KOMODO AND WAEREBO VILLAGE | Eco tour is trekking without trails to bring our clients to see the Komodo Dragons and other wildlife around the park. All the land is covered by savannas and monsoon forest. To do an Eco tour a special arrangement with the authorities of Komodo National Park is needed at least 2 months before you’re doing the trip and you need a guide with a lot of knowledge about ecotourism and the animals in the park. Meanwhile for trekking to Waerebo village, you also need a porter and local guide with knowledge about the local culture and the way of life of the natives in the village. |
BOATS | A local wooden boat was modified to transport tourists in a non-air conditioned cabin. For this tour, the price stated is using a non-air conditioned cabin boat. All boat trips are under control of the West Manggarai Tourism Government and harbor master. Boats are equipped with toilet and bathroom with shower, navigation system, safety equipment, kitchen and supported by cylinder engine. |
CAR/BUS | Complete with air conditioned car. |
TOUR GUIDE | The guides whom we entrust to accompany you during your journey to Flores are all working with us and they are Flores natives officially licensed by the Association of Indonesia Tour Guide for the Flores area. |
GUIDE DRIVER | We provide English speaking guide driver working with high dedication, friendly and helpful so when you are traveling with them you will always feel comfortable. |
