Rainy season lasts only for 4 months every year (December, January, February and March) and during the rest of the year it is dry season. On Flores overland tours, sun cream for skin protection, hat and shoes during the day time are recommended. Most destinations of this tour are located on the slopes of mountains, except for Maumere, a town in the eastern part, Riung in the north and Labuan Bajo in the west part of the island of Flores. July, August, December and January is the high season for visitors on Flores and Komodo Island – and therefore, due to the limited accommodation on the mainland of Flores, we suggest to all the participants to book early to enable us to manage all the bookings.
